In Sweet Memory
I realize that this isn't a typical bit of intel. It's definitely something my heart has compelled me to publish & make public. The main focus of this post is to ask for loving prayers for a wonderfully talented photographer, Sheye Rosemeyer. Almost a year ago to the day, she lost her sweet little daughter Ava in a chance accident. Please, go to her website and let Sheye know that she's in your prayers or that you're thinking of her during this, one of the hardest times in her life. http://sheyerosemeyer.blogspot.com/ I won't go into great detail of sweet Ava's accident - you can read about it in her memorial website. I would like to make a plea to everyone out there to NEVER leave children alone in a car, and to please lock their cars at all times. This is extremely important if you live anywhere that children are present at any time. In warm weather, the temperature inside cars is often MUCH higher than outside. This can lead to overheating or hyperthermia. It takes only a very short time for a child trapped inside to suffer long-term heat-related problems or even death. According to the Department of Geosciences, in 2007 there were 35 deaths of children in cars due to hyperthermia. There are a number of other statistics I could relay from the website, but instead I urge everyone to take a look for themselves http://ggweather.com/heat/ My apologies for this not being a typical bit of intel. I do hope that everyone will take a moment to remember little Ava, and to always keep their cars locked so that what happened to her doesn't happen to others. Thank you. |
